New Delhi, July 16 -- Priyanka Chopra's music is creating ripples both in the Indian and international market, and her cousin, actor Parineeti Chopra, seems inspired. "I have been singing ever since I was eight months old. Singing is my biggest passion. I'm a trained singer in Hindustani classical music. I hope I'm also able to take it up professionally like Priyanka. If I get a good opportunity, I would definitely grab it," the 24-year-old said as we caught up with her after the trailer launch of her next, Maneesh Sharma's Shuddh Desi Romance, at one of Jaipur's oldest theatres, Raj Mandir.
The actor will be seen locking lips with her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput in the film. However, she says she has no qualms about it. "A kissing scene is like any other scene for me. When you are reading a script, a kiss is a part of the story. It goes through seamlessly. You don't see it as a standalone scene," she says, adding, "I'd never put a no-kissing clause in my contract, as I don't want to restrict myself as an actor. If a script demands it, I don't give it a second thought at all."
The actor has had her share of link-ups in the industry, but she is unperturbed. "I have been linked to most of my friends - Uday (Chopra), Maneesh (Sharma), Arjun (Kapoor). With them, it's like I can just call them up and say, listen, tomorrow this news will be in the papers, so just chill." The truth is, she's looking for love. "I want to be in a relationship. I want someone who understands my life because the life of an actor is a little different.
