In fact, I feel it has become more important than anything else. Life will always be more hectic and complicated, so it’s very essential to hold onto friends who are really important to you. In fact, I have been friends with one of my closest pals since I was 4-5 year old so it has been 25 years now. Some time back, he went abroad for four years and in that time, I spoke to him only 7-8 times. But the day he came back, we picked up from where we left off. We didn’t have to work hard at all on it.

Do you miss your old friends?I don’t actually because those who have been really special to me have stayed with me always. If for whatever reasons I am not in touch with some of them, then we weren’t such close friends.

My friends from college are still in touch with me. I also have new set of friends and those special people make sure I don’t miss anyone else.

I don’t think so. After all, at the end of day, a human being can’t live in isolation. Being busy can’t affect those relationships which really matter to you. It’s very simple: if you are really close to someone — a friend or a relative, you will make time for that person.

I am still in touch with my school friends. We spend a lot of time together. In fact, we are sick of each other now (laughs). So much so that we want to take a break now from one another!

Today, everyone is busy but we absolutely need to make time for our friends, both new and old, and chill with them. Believe me it’s worth it.

Do you believe in the concept of Friendship Day?As we grow older our outlook towards the celebration of friendship day at least changes for sure. I can no longer go to my friends and make them wear friendship bands anymore. But I’m content with the fact that they are always there for me.
